Enough watts to charge a laptop, not just a phone

Most 'laptop' power banks aren't. Capacity in mAh is the number printed largest on the box and the least useful one — what determines whether your laptop charges instead of merely draining slower is sustained output in watts, and whether the port you plug into supports it. The second trap is airlines: capacity above 100Wh is refused in carry-on baggage, which rules out a surprising number of the biggest models regardless of how good they are.

How many watts do I need to charge a laptop?
60W charges most thin-and-light laptops while you use them. 100W or more is needed for larger 15–16 inch machines under load. Below about 45W you're slowing the battery drain, not charging.
Can I take a power bank on a plane?
In carry-on only, never checked, and generally up to 100Wh without airline approval. That's roughly 27,000mAh at typical 3.7V cell voltage — check the Wh figure printed on the unit itself.
How many phone charges is 10,000mAh?
About two full charges for a typical phone, allowing for conversion losses. Real-world output is usually 60–70% of the printed capacity, which is normal rather than a defect.
Are built-in cables worth it?
They're the difference between a power bank you use and one that stays in a drawer because the cable is somewhere else. The trade-off is that a damaged built-in cable can't be replaced.
Does fast charging damage the battery?
Modern devices manage charge rate and heat themselves, so day-to-day fast charging is fine. Heat is what actually degrades cells, so avoid charging under a pillow or on a car dashboard.
